A Novel Effective Edge-Based Image Denoising Algorithm

This article proposes an edge-based denoising algorithm to restore the original image, which is highly degraded by salt and pepper noise. Most of existing image algorithms consider edge as a Here, proposed can set out resolve this ambiguity. The concept directional filters being used delineate edges from performance tested for different noise densities ranging 5% 90% on both greyscale colour images. It compared with current state art techniques using several metrics such peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index measure (SSIM) values, enhancement factor (IEF). results showed that has achieved improvement 60% over techniques.
